Places to Visit When Sailing in Greece

Situated not far from the capital city of Athens, the island of Poros encapsulates much of what makes Greece such a popular holiday location. Full of archaeological sites of significance and surrounded by crystal-clear blue seas, it really is a picture-perfect location.

Take the wild lemon trees, for example. Only a five-minute boat ride from the centre of island, these famous trees can be found on Galatas. It may not sound like much, but the scent of the trees in the picturesque surroundings really is something to savour and remember.

Poros, along with many other parts of Greece, has unsurprisingly provided a number of locations for famous films, so where better to enjoy a movie than on the island itself. Cinema Diana is a stunning open-air theatre, and if you time it right, you might be able to enjoy a film as the sun sets over the screen.
