Places to Visit When Sailing in Greece

Situated not far from the capital city of Athens, the island of Poros encapsulates much of what makes Greece such a popular holiday location. Full of archaeological sites of significance and surrounded by crystal-clear blue seas, it really is a picture-perfect location.
Not only that, Poros is a great place to explore when sailing in Greece’s blue seas. Adventure lovers will be satisfied by the many water sports on offer, whilst there are numerous beaches for sun seekers to soak up the rays. But there are some things that are unique to Poros and, as such, must not be missed.
Take the wild lemon trees, for example. Only a five-minute boat ride from the centre of island, these famous trees can be found on Galatas. It may not sound like much, but the scent of the trees in the picturesque surroundings really is something to savour and remember.
If lemon trees aren’t enough to tempt you, what about the Cinema Diana? Poros, along with many other parts of Greece, has unsurprisingly provided a number of locations for famous films, so where better to enjoy a movie than on the island itself. Cinema Diana is a stunning open-air theatre, and if you time it right, you might be able to enjoy a film as the sun sets over the screen.
