As one of the world’s oldest cities, Athens is packed with things to see and do, and it is the perfect place to enjoy an onshore adventure during a Greece sailing break. But how should you make the most of your time in this most historic of locations? Here are some ideas to get you started.
A walk around the Kolonaki neighbourhood of the city is simply perfect for sampling the best in boutique shopping and top-class food and drink. From designer cocktails to designer goods, this area is always abuzz with excitement.
If you are keen to take in the wonderful views that Athens has to offer but you don’t fancy elbowing others out of the way to do so, then you should consider a visit to one of the city’s many rooftop bars. Away from the crowds at the Acropolis, you can relax and enjoy the scenery whilst enjoying a refreshing drink in absolute luxury.
Finally, a visit to the National Gardens offers real peace and tranquillity in what is a very busy place to be. There are nearly 40 acres of unspoilt greenery, and a summertime visit here is the best time to see the park in all its glory.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, but it is somewhere to start as you embark on your Greece sailing adventure.
