Greece Sailing Holidays: The Best Beaches
By MedSailors Crew published on 6 March 2015
Greece is famous for many things, including its long, glorious history and its delicious cuisine. However, undoubtedly the main attraction for many tourists, especially those taking Greece sailing holidays, will be the beaches. If you want to relax by the sea and soak up the sun, some of the best beaches you will encounter on your sailing holiday can be found in the following places.
Spetses
Spetses is home to some of the most wonderful beaches you will find anywhere in Greece – or anywhere on the planet, for that matter. In particular, Paradise Beach is exceptionally well named and makes for an absolutely wonderful place to relax on the shore and soak up the warm rays of the Mediterranean sun.
Agistri
Agistri has a unique coastline. For the most part, it is rugged and rocky. This is beautiful and scenic, but it may not sound ideal for relaxation. Nonetheless, against this spectacular backdrop you will still find some lovely stretches of beach that are ideal for unwinding on while the waves lap at the shore.
Hydra
With its romantic cobbled streets, Hydra is a charming and fascinating place. Wheeled vehicles are banned, and donkeys are the main form of transportation. Hydra is also home to a truly wonderful bay, perfect for ocean-side relaxation as well as for paddle-boarding or simply taking a dip.
