Founded in the American city of Miami, the Ultra Music Festival brand has now spread far and wide. And this year the European branch of this increasingly popular event is taking place in Split, Croatia.
With events stretching across July, the festival is about more than just music. There are beach parties, creative displays, live dancers and an incredibly exciting regatta – perfect for those embarking on a Croatia sailing holiday.
The festival expects to see Split’s population rise by nearly 200,000, making this one of the most exciting times to visit the area. And it is no surprise that the festival, which has been held in Split for the past three years, has found its European home near Hvar – it’s considered by many to be one of the best party venues on the continent.
This year’s headliners include David Guetta and the Chemical Brothers. And where better to enjoy the music of some of the dance world’s best-known names than when you are surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Croatia’s coast? The best thing of all? After you have danced until dawn, you can simply retire to your boat and look forward to the rest of your trip.
